HOW TO BURN OR WRITE A CD OR DVD

I know its a simple thing. But there are many people who still don't know how to burn a CD or DVD.  I mentioned in about page itself that this blog will be dealing with some very simple and basic things also which may be helpful for some people. This post is for them.

To burn a CD or DVD, first you need a burning software. There are many disc burning software. I personally use Nero and Burn aware. Nero is a paid software. A free version of burn aware software is enough for most of burning jobs. I prefer Nero version 7 or 8 or burn aware free which have very simple user interface.

To burn music

 You can burn music as simple data CD or as audio CD. in audio cd you can add only 10 to 20 songs ( according to audio length ) but voice quality will be higher. If you want to write more songs,  burn it as data CD. in burn aware, there is an mp3 CD and audio CD options . You can select any one according to your need.

Burn as VCD
 Burn VCD option is there in both software. Just select the option. Add your video file or just drag and drop. Click next. It will convert video to vcd format and burn.

Burn video as DVD

To make your video support in all dvd player first you have to convert it to DVD format. There is an option for dvd authoring in NERO full version. Or you can also use third party dvd authoring tools like one from dvdvideosoft to convert video to DVD format and then use write dvd video option in nero or burnaware free.

Copy a CD/DVD

To copy any type of cd or dvd ( vcd, mp3, audio cd etc ) use this link in nero. Insert your disc to copy. Click copy disc. After completion, insert a blank CD or DVD to burn. You can only copy a cd to a cd and dvd to a dvd.

UNHANDLED EXCEPTION ERROR IN GTA VICE CITY PC GAME

Follow these steps

1. First disable sharing of the folder you want to share. We will enable it later
2. Open My Computer
3. I tools menu select folder options -> the view tab
4. click " Use simple file sharing (recommended)"
5. Now comeback to the folder you want to share. Right click and select Properties
6. In sharing tab click "If you understand the risk and still want to share " . Then click share this folder and then click "allow network users to change my folders".
7. Done... Now there wont be any problem in accesing editing or deleteing any files n that shared folder.

DISABLE WINDOWS XP PROMPTING FOR USERNAME AND PASSWORDIN EACH LOGIN

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS TO DO IT

1. Click Start and Run
2. Type Control Userpasswords2 and press enter.
3. Uncheck the box for "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer."

UNABLE TO DELETE MESSAGES ON NOKIA C3 OR EMPTY MESSAGES STORED ON NOKIA

This problem happens with many nokia devices now including nokia c3-00 nokia asha series phones and many nokia s40 series phones. The solution is go to Setting - > sync and Backup-> create a backup-> select only messages and deselect all others and create a backup

Then Open Your memoory card in gallery . the open backup files and restore it. Phone will restore files and restart.  Thats it. The problem with your nokia phone is solved now

REMOVE WINDOWS GENUINE ADVANTAGE NOTIFICATION

To do this create a new notepad file in windows desktop. Rename it to remove.bat or any name with .bat extention. Then right click it and select edit or open it with notepad. then copy paste below code to it

taskkill -IM wgatray.exe

del wgatray.exe

del wgalogon.old

Then save it and run the file. It will remove windows genuine advantage notification within seconds.

MY COMPUTER AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN OR RESTARTS

Many things can cause this problem. Some of them are

1. virus or malwares
2. registry errors
3. power failure
4. mother board problems
5. processor heating 

We will start with the first. As you know you need a good antivirus and anti malware softwares to remove virus. You can use any good antivirus and free malwarebites to do this

Next is registry errors. To clean this you can download free software called ccleaner. Then clear all temporary files and clean registry using this.

 If you have used any other registry cleaners or defragmented registry before, you may have to restore you pc to that point. Because the problem will be because of the changes made by that software and you can easily rectify it by restoring your pc.

Next you can check whether it is because of processor heating. To check this, you can download a small tool called core temp . run this tool , and check whether your pc is heating too much. If it is heating, then clean your CPU fans or use heat sink. Also remove your RAM , clean it and fix it again.

If all these an not rectify your problem, consult a technician and check for SMPS and motherboard problems.

Runtime error visual basic c++ terminated error comes when using ulead or corel video studion

This can happen if you are using cracked version of the ulead video studio or corel video studio . Try to get original version or just use trial version to render your video. Completely remove old version. Then clean temp files and registry using ccleaner. Then install trial verson of the software and try rendering your file again.

BEST SOFTWARE TO CONVERT JPEG TO PDF

There are many tools available online to convert your JPEG to a PDF file. Some are free , some are paid software. I tried many of them and found a very useful free software which perform this function very neatly.

One thing I liked about it is, you can add more than one file to create a PDF file. Its a small standalone tool which you can download for free. It has a very simple user interface.  Screenshot is given below

You can add files by clicking add Files button. then you can move it up and down to to adjust page order. Then just click save pdf button. Your pdf file is created. isnt it very easy. You can make changes in setting if you want

DESKTOP.INI POPS UP DURING EVERY RESTART

 Its not any virus or any big problem. But some wont like it. To disable it ,

              Just go to your start up folder that is C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Start Menu\Programs\Startup   ( change user with your username )   and remove desktop.ini file from there. Now try restarting your computer. It will not popup again.

HOW TO SIGN UNSIGNED SIS FILE

Most of the Symbian apps available now are in beta version and is not signed. So problem can be faced when you install an unsigned app in Nokia symbian phones. You can sign it by the procedure explained below.

First you have to get certificate files from OPDA.CN .

• For that first you have to register there. 
• Then login and click apply for certificate. 
• Fill the boxes with your mobile  model and IMEI no.
• Now wait till the files are ready. When files are ready, dowload the cer and key files to your PC.

Download BinPDA Signer

• Now keep .cer , .key and signer app together in a single folder.
• Open BinPDA signer and select your .sis , .cer , .key files as shown in screenshot below.

Now press sign the sis button. Done. Your file is signed now.
