In this post i will explain how to disable automatic updates in windows 10. It is strongly recommended that you keep automatic update enabled on your windows. But sometimes you may want to disable it to save your internet charges and data balance. To disable windows 10 automatic update, go to


Method 1

First method to disable windows update is given below.

Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools, you can access Windows Services Manager. In the Services window, scroll down to Windows Update and turn off the Service.

Method 2

1. Click Run  and type gpedit
2. Open group policy editor
3. Go to administrative templates
4. Click windows components
5. Click Windows update
6. Click allow updates to be downloaded over metered connections
7. And disable it
