MY COMPUTER AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN OR RESTARTS

Many things can cause this problem. Some of them are

1. virus or malwares
2. registry errors
3. power failure
4. mother board problems
5. processor heating 

We will start with the first. As you know you need a good antivirus and anti malware softwares to remove virus. You can use any good antivirus and free malwarebites to do this

Next is registry errors. To clean this you can download free software called ccleaner. Then clear all temporary files and clean registry using this.

 If you have used any other registry cleaners or defragmented registry before, you may have to restore you pc to that point. Because the problem will be because of the changes made by that software and you can easily rectify it by restoring your pc.

Next you can check whether it is because of processor heating. To check this, you can download a small tool called core temp . run this tool , and check whether your pc is heating too much. If it is heating, then clean your CPU fans or use heat sink. Also remove your RAM , clean it and fix it again.

If all these an not rectify your problem, consult a technician and check for SMPS and motherboard problems.

CAN'T UPLOAD ANYTHING TO GMAIL OR FACEBOOK OR ANYWHERE ON INTERNET

This problem is most probably caused by your firewall or antivirus program installed. You may fail to upload any file to gmail, facebook or anywhere on Internet. I had to face this problem last week.

First thing I done was completely scan my PC with bitdefender antivirus ( you can use any good antivirus). Then do a full system scan with malwarebytes to remove any malwares.

My system was malware free but still the problem was not solved. Then I unistalled my antivirus and firewall, but that too not solved my problem . At last I checked whether my network drivers are ok. For that I right clicked "my computer" and selected "manage" ( in windows XP ) . Then I selected device manager from there. The steps I describe after this have to be done with great care and if you have a backup of you drivers. Otherwise it may cause damage to your PC and I am not responsible for that. There I saw some filters are applied to my network adapters driver by firewall software. So I uninstalled those firewall filters by right clicking. Then I uninstalled my network driver also. After some seconds, your computer will detect network adapter and will reinstall those drivers again. It will be clean drivers without any filters. If it not re installed automatically, you have to manually install it using your driver backup CD.

I explained those 2 steps above because, in some cases that can solve your problem. But mine was not solved because I have to reinstall that antivirus, because I cant use my PC without antivirus. I tried disabling my firewall and upload, but that not helped. As I said earlier I am using bit defender antivirus in my PC. There is an option called privacy control. I disabled it. And at last my problem was solved. The privacy filter of bitdefender was preventing from uploading anything on internet. I hope these 3 steps will help you.               Just go to your start up folder that is C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Start Menu\Programs\Startup   ( change user with your username )   and remove desktop.ini file from there. Now try restarting your computer. It will not popup again.

Google chrome is my favorite browser. Its fast and have a simple user interface. But the only problem is, it has got the worst download manager among its competitors. One solution for this is, by integrating third party download manager to Google chrome. Free download manager is a good option in this category. You can download it from freedownloadmanager.org . 

After downloading and installing it, you have to integrate it with your browser. To do that, 

1. Close all browsers. Then open free download manager.
2. Click Ctrl +o or open options -> settings from menu
3. In settings window, click monitoring and check the Google chrome or any other browser you want to integrate to FDM
4. Thats it. Now whenever you download anything, it will be transferred to FDM and download from there. You can easily stop or resume your downloads now.

SAMSUNG MOBILE WIFI DNS ERROR

I was using samsung 5233w phone, which had WiFi in it. But whenever I tried to conect to internet with it, it showed "DNS ERROR" . I searched on net, but couldn't find any useful answer. • If it is not asked for saving settings in last step, go to browser and create a new profile. Select wifi as connection type and give DNS provided in last step as DNS. 
• Now select that profile as default in browser. Now you are ready to browse, with high speed of WiFi network.

ARRANGE ICONS BY MODIFIED NOT SHOWING

Arange icons by .... is very useful to arrange files and folders in a folder. Some times you may not get the preffered option in this function. Eg : sometimes you may not find arrange icons by modified in a folder with music files. So you may have to add this option yourself. To do this

•  Go to "view" in menu bar
•  Select " Choose Details "
•  And now a window will appear in which, you can tick any option you want to see in arrange icons function

Cannot find entry point in dynamic link library in .dll

This is an error that can occur if some library files are modified or deleted. I got this error whenever I opened adobe photoshop , revo uninstaller etc. After searching online for sometime I got a small softaware which corrected this error. You can get a trial version or buy full version of that software from here System sentry . After downloading and istalling this software , run a system sacn. It will prompt to restart system. After restarting , Scan the system with that software. It will ask to give path to your windows XP cd. Insrt CD in your drive and continue scan . It will take some time. After that it will automatically fix most of the problems in system files. You can also make some necessary changes to system files with the help of this tool

To change your DNS go to

Start -> My network places -> Select view network connections from the box at top right of the page
Right click the network you want to change and select properties -> Double click Internet protocol ( TCP/IP ) from it.
There will be two spaces to edit. One is for assigning a static IP to the computer. Other is to give a DNS server. If you choose it to select automatically, it will use DNS server from your Internet provider. If you want to change it, click use following DNS server address and type any of the following free DNS server. It will sometimes make your browsing faster. You an also use it when your network providers DNS server is down. I personally like open DNS because I think it is faster and up most of the time
